Natalie Cooke '10 Recognized for Work with Community Nutrition Project
Natalie Cooke ‘10 was recently featured in Perspectives Online, the magazine of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, for her work in the Raleigh community. She served as head community liaison for a partnership involving NC State University and the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle where she coordinated student-led cooking and nutrition classes in Wake County.
Natalie majored in biochemistry and nutrition sciences with a minor in genetics. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, Gamma Sigma Delta, Alpha Epsilon Delta, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) Honors Program, and the University Scholars Program. She served as chair of the William C. Friday Award committee and received a Silver Award for her CALS Honors project.
Natalie also conducted research in the Department of Food, Bioprocessing and Nutrition Sciences. After graduation, Natalie will pursue her Ph.D. in nutrition sciences at NC State University.
