While all donations are appeciated, we encourage donors to consider making a pledge so that their support can be felt over time. Pledging helps you create a donor history, establish a yearly gift, and in some instances will earn you benefits.
As this will be an on-going fundraiser until we are able to endow the Study Abroad Stipends, making a pledge over a number of years will insure that we're able to fund these stipends for years—and scholars—to come.
You need not pledge a large amount—even $25/yr over 5 or 10 years can help.
When filling out your donation form, you have the option of checking whether or not you'd like to make a one-time gift or a pledge. If you choose to make a pledge, you should state the total amount you'd like to give, as well as the increments and number of years you'd like to pay it over.
You can also choose to have a yearly pledge reminder sent to you, and choose which month you'd like to receive it in.
You might also want to check and see if you or your spouse's company offers a matching gift program. You might be able to double or even triple the amount of your pledge each year!
